Long hours, low pay, zero benefits and disrespectful management

Pay was fair, managers are involved, great benefits and paid holidays.

Can be repetitive. Not too much room for growth unless you're willing to deal with pests

I had a great manager. So my experience was pretty pleasant. Starting pay is good, benefits are phenomenal if you can get into their stock program DO IT. And the bonuses are really good if you hit your numbers.

Work load for my position was a lot, and if you don’t have the right management and team it could be difficult. Lots of high volume call days and going back and forth with people on the price

Decent Pay, lots of benefits, lots of flexibility. Branch level management was great and had a great group of people to work with.

No work life balance, working 14-16 hours a day was normal and the regional management was awful. At that level they do not care about anyone else. This is only specific for the region I was most recently in as I have worked in several and the others were not that way. Here you are only a name on a piece of paper with zero value no matter what you do.

Pay is decent, job is simple but can get busy, lots of teamwork required to have a good overall work environment. This job hinges on every one else in the team to be done effectively.

Benefits are awful, day to day work experience is dependent on current branch manager and not the company as a whole

Company benefits are quite good and not terribly expensive.

Orkin companywide is very concerns about their salary budget resulting in constant staffing issues. The workload both in the office and in the field is unreasonable. Other companies in the same industry by comparison we have two people to do what orkin expects one person to do. Staff becomes burnt out and leaves the turnover at every location is tremendous. Don't get attached to your coworkers they won't be there long and likely neither will you. Completely insufficient training technicians are sent out into the field, unlicensed and untrained customer think that they are paying for a higher end experience not knowing that the person that just applied chemical around their house probably didn't even mix it right there is no accountability for management to ensure that they are doing their jobs Which often cases there or not which leaves the staff to stumble through on their own but when mistakes are made, it's the lower level employee that takes the heat, not the management who didn't provide appropriate training or support. My time at Orkin wasn't very long, but it was long enough to see that it's absolute chaos. I've never seen anything so mismanaged.
