What is the hiring process like at Power Home Remodeling?

      Power Home Remodeling reviews

      Best opportunity of my life

      Remodeling consultant
      Current employee
      Nashville, TN
      Recommend
      CEO approval
      Business Outlook

      Pros

I’ve worked for Power for a little over 4 years at this point, and the opportunity the hiring manager afforded me to join Power has been the best one of my life.

      Cons

I realistically don’t have too many complaints. No where is perfect but the pros outweigh the cons by such a significant margin that I don’t feel like it’s even worth putting anything

If you find the right people, great

      Associate site reliability engineer
      Former employee

      Business Outlook

      Pros

lots of extra morale boosting events, good benefits, amazing talent throughout

      Cons

inconsistent communication, some inappropriate male superiors. if you're popular enough poor behavior gets overlooked. interview process not 100% accurate - says sales but start door to door

      Don't Bother

      Sales representative
      Former employee

      CEO approval
      Business Outlook

      Pros

      Easy hiring process, charismatic leadership

      Cons

Pyramid scheme-style door-to-door in neighborhoods where people will call the cops on you and/or don't own their homes and/or can't afford groceries so therefore cannot reasonably invest in windows. Save yourself the trouble. I don't know how they have so many good reviews-- more evidence of what a scheme this is.

      Pros

Great training, great pay, great culture. Incredibly transparent hiring process.

      Cons

The training is intense but it’s worth it.

      Toxic, Inappropriate Culture

      Pros

      Cons

No reputable company wants to hire someone from Power. Do not apply here.

Great People, Outdated Tech, and Unequal Pay

      Sre engineer
      Current employee
      Brazil, IA
      Recommend
      CEO approval
      Business Outlook

      Pros

The company provides a relaxed work environment that respects personal life. Colleagues are excellent to work with. Power Home Remodeling offers two company-paid trips annually and covers lodging for the year-end party.

      Cons

As a contractor employed from another country, the pay is significantly below the U.S. industry standard, despite having superior experience and knowledge compared to some higher-paid peers. The company uses outdated technology, which could hinder career progression by keeping employees out of touch with current market standards. Internal processes are chaotic with a rigid hierarchy and an outdated approach to process and technology management. Technical leadership lacks effective people management skills, does not encourage personal growth, and tends to centralize control.

More than just a remodeling company

      Home remodeling consultant
      Current employee
      Fort Lauderdale, FL
      Recommend
      CEO approval
      Business Outlook

      Pros

From the moment I started my interview process over the phone I felt as if I belonged and these people were there to support and guide me towards a better life for myself. The company has high standards, for all roles including leadership, there’s support provided from all angles to succeed. The company is filled with driven, ambitious and hungry for life individuals who will do anything to help you succeed if you’re willing to try. The money is real, the leaders are professional and admirable, the character development is life changing.. become a better you and make the best money you’ve ever made in the process.

      Cons

All of my cons here are just realities of what it takes to be successful.

Great Company Culture - Great Pay

      Remodeling consultant
      Current employee
      Atlanta, GA
      Recommend
      CEO approval
      Business Outlook

      Pros

-The company invests a lot of resources into preparing each new hire to be successful -Even in a commission sales workplace, the staff is a community that is built on rallying around and helping one another to succeed -Local management holds numerous optional out of office events throughout the year to allow the staff to grow relationships outside of work -The pay they promise you is real. The bare minimum performance standards in the sales dept. will make you a 6 figure earner -You get to get out of the house each day and meet someone new, instead of sitting at a desk in an office -The company provides ample vacation days

      Cons

-The schedule can be brutal, you can be gone from home and work 14 hour days multiple days during the week, and drive hundreds of miles weekly to get to people’s homes

      Amazing people & support

      Anonymous employee
      Current employee

      Business Outlook

      Pros

      • great culture with a focus on hiring the right people with a growth mindset rather than on experience alone • leadership cares about your happiness and growth • very robust training & support throughout your career

      Cons

      • compensation not as generous as what the rest of the company offers (which, to be fair, is a high standard)

      Power really is THAT company

      Business affairs coordinator
      Current employee

      Business Outlook

      Pros

I started working here in September, and I feel like I've been here for years. The people here at Power are the most genuine you can find; they truly care about you and your life inside and outside of Power. Culture is something that is heavily touched on during the interview process, but for good reason. The culture here is unlike any other company. Everyone here wants to see you succeed and wants to help you reach those goals and milestones, which is truly amazing.

      Cons

Not a huge thing, but the schedule around the holidays is probably the only con I've seen so far. I believe everyone should be given a few more days off during the holidays considering how hard everyone works.
