I have 7 years experience in various retail and service industries, high end restaurant such as Brunswick House and Orasay, or the Merlin company where I had been on tills serving up to 25.000 guests per day at the London Eye. Based on my experience these are the cons I found at Pret Wimbledon. Under the supervision of a highly driven manager who always demands continuous focus and rapid pace. It’s often challenging to take water for proper hydration. This has occasionally led to dehydration and fatigue. It’s important for anyone considering this role at this branch to be mindful of balancing the intense work demands with their own personal health needs. Regardless of that I achieved 90 to 100 % productivity by following the standard protocol as close to perfection as I could, keeping safety in mind and cleanliness under control. I think my efforts were noticed by the head of ops in charge of south. Nice! However, I ultimately left the position due to the incoherent communication practices, which created a toxic work environment. This was particularly disappointing, as the job itself was promising and I was genuinely enthusiastic about the role. The communication issues at this workplace were more severe than any I had experienced in previous jobs, ultimately overshadowing the aspects of the job I was happy with.

Benefit offering is very limited in comparison to other companies. Micromanagement and hostile working environment. The Pay and Benefits manager was very temperamental so was difficult to approach with any concerns. Below average pay. I would recommend other areas of the business but avoid pay and benefits if you prefer a more structured and hands off manager

-Work like a donkey and kill your legs standing. -Running all day in shop and kitchen. -Unhealthy work life balance, -unrealistic targets. -Labour allowance drop around % every quarter. -Brain washed Bosses making you feel like you should put your whole time/life and energy in the shop. -Management seem to enjoy us struggling. -Not clear directions. -Pay rise doesn't exist. -Colleagues are nice but also overworked and depressed. -Tight budgets(means never). -Very stressful and demanding. -Understaffed and being expected to save even more. -No labour. -Issue on everything. -A lot of stress in work no time to break and eat. -Toxic, mental health is seen as a joke. -They expect you to perform 125% without labour. -targets are close to impossible to achieve. -Work 80+ hours a week(same salary and fake bonus). -Your bonus money will be spent on therapy. -if you like make your targets whilst running on a treadmill and never being apreciated with those extra hours then apply. -You will be over worked - underpaid - treated like a number not even like a person.
