Pros
Pros are flexible hours, benefits and vacation pay at 30+ hours per week, casual environment, and any good regulars one may have.
Cons
The cons are high turnover, incompetent management, lack of food quality, low wages for hourly employees, old run-down buildings and having to work on holidays, which used to not include Thanksgiving and Christmas, but now does include them.
The poor decision making at the corporate level is also a big con. It is very obvious that the “leadership” at the top have very little restaurant experience or have been out of the actual restaurants for so long that they have completely lost touch with how the restaurants actually run. It is also very clear how little Corporate Red Lobster values their employees. The corporate greed monsters forced employees to work on Thanksgiving and Christmas without even as much as holiday pay. Our restaurant was given $50 total to buy food for about 20 employees on Christmas Day.
