Pros
Decent salary even without foreign languages.
Cons
Micromanaging Bosses - bosses micromanage you to a psychotic degree if they don't like you. There are some decent managers, but being assigned to them is like winning the lottery, or they choose you if you're close...
Unwarranted Negative Feedback - QAs will nitpick and point out every mistake, while glossing over good things you've done. All the 10's you got? Yeah, they'll acknowledge them, but will focus on every mistake you've ever made.
Career growth? Again, only if you're the favorite. It doesn't matter how much you've earned it or how well suited you are, you'll be stuck doing a good job, because who else would do it? Certainly not your senior staff! They got promoted coming in late and being mediocre, all the while they dangle the carrot on a stick to make you work harder and better. "You'll be such a great leader one day!"
Work from home? Only after the first 6 months, to then only get 2 days from home. The bad managers have to justify their positions somehow after all. It's easier to micromanage from the office.
