      Pros

      - Hybrid Work (Should be remote but classic boomer upper management did not allow it) - Good Benefits

      Cons

      - EXTREMELY Micromanaged - Constantly Working, never ending incoming call volumes (No breathing room) - Unfair work environment (sales & service are divided and are not treated equally) - Constant increases to your expectations with no additional compensation - Difficult to get promoted (Too many people in the same position to compete against) - Consistent changes that make your job more difficult (eg, increasing home insurance prices by 40% in a year (while increasing your sales targets) - would be nice to see any resemblance to this in salaries but no, expect 2%~ salary increases on average

      Cea/customer service representative
      Current employee
      Toronto, ON
      Recommend
      CEO approval
      Business Outlook

      Pros

hour pay is ok, insurance benefit not bad. Good for student work as a part time, But if you got bills to pay, get a full time job somewhere else, monthly pay check less than a min wage full time worker. Also good for people who want to be advisor in retail bank. The culture depends on the branch you get deploy.

      Cons

the job is stressful, you need to remember lot of rules and product. You need to give advice(sales) to customer, also check lot of things and make decisions. Traffic really depends on which location, but you can expect customer come back to back, means there is no stop. Branch hours and shrift also not easy, if you closing the branch and there is a minor mistake you could stay untill 11pm. Don't expect this job unlock lots of chance, is retail banking, which means you can become a sales person later, but back office position you better get a MBA.
