What are perks and other benefits like at USAA?

Great company culture, great benefits and pension plan.

Pay is average and bonus got changed a few years ago.

USAA used to be the company to work for. Military mission, great culture, set on core values, innovative company and excellent work life balance.

CEO has literally tanked the company, Doesn't listen the employees and dictates whatever he wants. Many many employees have asked for transparency and specifically why there have been many changes from benefits to return to office to impacts to culture to innovation cuts, etc. Nothing has been transparent and instead there have been continuous lies from the CEO to upper management. This used to be one of the best companies to work for because the company cared MOST about LISTENING. Now they shut down the employees ability to speak and they refuse to listen. They just dictate whatever they want and could care less that employee satisfaction has hit an all time low of 37% in USAA history. Sad to see a CEO tank such a great company and not live by the core values or mission that made USAA who they were.

The benefits are great, the management is supportive and does not micromanage

Processes and procedures are lengthy

Pay is competitive, health benefits are competitive, employees in general are very professional.

Company culture/leadership from the CEO down is lacking, promotions are not based upon merit, benefits have been decreasing.

Excellent benefits, work from home offered, Hybrid available, excellent starting pay.

Extremely competitive and hard to post to other positions or even to get different shifts.

Great pay, benefits, and culture

Management was not good, and it is hard to get hired for another job within the company.

I have worked at several banks big and small throughout 20 years in the industry. This is the best bank I have worked at. The benefits are great and include pension and 401k contributions. I have saved more in 4 years than the first 20 of my career. The company asks for feedback and actually tries to improve benefits. I worked hard and was rewarded with several promotions in my few years there.

Only con at this point is the going back into office movement. I enjoy working from home and am productive. I am not looking forward to the increased days required especially since my teammates work at other locations so we end up on zoom anyway.
