What are perks and other benefits like at Wegmans Food Markets?

Weekly pay was a huge plus, very flexible on hours, definitely loved the food, and was appreciate of the benefits offered! Definitely not a bad first or later-stage job at all!

Didn't like the anti-union agenda, and management was hit or miss.

Good pay, benefits, employee events, good people, schedule flexibility.

In smaller departments, full time and management positions tend to have little turnover if any so there is little room for advancement without moving departments or stores.

Good benefits, pay is decently fair, and scheduling is very flexible! Company culture is awesome and management is great!

Full-time positions require open availability 6am-12am midnight and they will not consider you for full-time employment otherwise. Managers that are salaried are often expected to work overtime.

Almost no room for in-location growth; you will be told that new positions may open elsewhere. Almost no flexibility with their scheduling but they will expect for you to be flexible with a schedule that has different working hours each week. Benefits don't actually start for six months. They will ask for as many hours as possible without counting you as a full time employee. They will be very vague with what the job requires; for example I wasn't even aware I would be unloading trucks and pallets with a power jack for the freezer section overnight, only that I would be stocking shelves. The position was just called "Overnight Stocker" and asked if I could lift up to 50lbs. They are very unresponsive to phone calls and will brush off any requests for a schedule change with "Call X department, not my department" loops.

Good benefits, perks, and decent pay; growth within the company is very possible but you really have to work hard for it and wait patiently for opportunities, lots of things to learn and departments to get exposed in

Physically demanding and long hours of work of course retail, you can get unlucky with difficult co workers and always have to pick up their slack, you will always have to do more than what you initially thought you signed up for
