I applied in-person. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Ace Hardware in Jan 2007
Interview
I filled out app and asked to speak with manager. i spoke to asst manager and was told that they would call me. next day i called asking they said to just wait a few days. i called a few days later and got nothing. A week later I finally got a call and went in next day for interview. I went through the regular questions and mainly they focused on my background in landscaping. I figured i would get on but never heard anything.
Pretty easy and direct. Appreciated the flow and conversation with the hiring manager. I learned a lot about the company and what they're looking for. Overall the questions were around why i would want this role, experience, etc
Very fast and easy. Mostly behavior based. Enjoyed both interviewers as they were sociable and very easy to talk to without feeling awkward in any way. Would definitely say one of the best interview experiences I have had.
I applied on their website and then they called me about a week later about the job. Then I scheduled an interview which they were very flexible on. I applied to three different stores and the only one that called me back was the one in the city I live in.
