I interviewed at Advantage Capital
Interview started with a screening company discussing resume. Moved on to phone calls with various company members (analysts, associates, etc.). Overall the process was great, culture seems very enthusiastic, eager, and everyone I spoke with was extremely smart and outgoing/nice
- Mix of personality/behavioral questions and accounting questions. ex) Major setbacks you've encountered, hobbies, something you have taught yourself recently, etc.

Anonymous Interview Candidate in Hanover, NH
I applied through college or university. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Advantage Capital (Hanover, NH) in Dec 2021
Starts with 2 calls with an external HR company where they see if you are going to be a good fit. Then it moves on to 3 different calls with current Analysts. Starting with the only Senior analyst, then a mid level analyst and finally one of the newer analysts. If you make it that far they invite you down to Hanover where you have to drive or fly in, (they do not pay for transport but do pay for the hotel and it is nice) where you go out to dinner with 2 analysts, then the next day you meet a bit before 9 AM for 3 one hour interviews each with a different person. This is where you first meet the higher ups in the office. The first one is with an analyst, second is with Joe Henderson the Senior Associate. He can be a hardo and the last one is with the Director of the branch. Expect some tough questions and a case study or 2.
- Who is your biggest critic, (not yourself or family) What is something you have taught yourself in the past 8 months What is the biggest piece of constructive criticism you have given and received.

Anonymous Interview Candidate in New York, NY
I applied online. I interviewed at Advantage Capital (New York, NY) in May 2021
Interviewed with the New York team for Summer Investment Intern. One woman was really nice and we had a pretty good conversation. The other male who interviewed me was super condescending and seemed to really like to brag that he went to Harvard... um ok? After asking me a brainteaser, he pounced on me for getting a simple arithmetic calculation wrong and acted like that was a dealbreaker. I'm not sure if he knew that I have a MS in Engineering from an Ivy school, but he seemed to relish in my mistake and acted really rude afterwards. If this is how the firm determines their hires, I would not want to work here. Also, most questions were accounting based. As a quant, I would not be interested in this firm anyways as interviewer said he cannot code at all and is not good at calculus. Overall a very poor reflection on the firm. Not sure if this person is indicative of the company culture as a whole, but if he is, then that is unfortunate.
- Why do you want to work here?

I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at Advantage Capital
Several phone interviews that went well, then invited to the St. Louis office. Was greeted and then sat in a conference room and was interviewed by 2 separate panels of younger/junior analysts. They were very nice to talk to and professional, However, I sensed that they didn't really like it there and seemed very stressed. One girl was jokingly excited that I was there because she could offload some stressful task to me that everyone agreed was very bad. Lastly interviewed with my would be manager and had lunch. It was pretty casual and straightforward. I received an offer, but it was very low. I accepted anyways and started asking basic questions about benefits etc. I signed the offer, notified all my other job leads that I accepted the offer, and began to prepare to move to St. Louis. Then, at the last moment, they rescinded my offer with no explanation. This was the most unprofessional experience I have ever had. It ruined me for another year because I lost all the progress I made with other companies. I find them to be an underhanded and untrustworthy group.

I interviewed at Advantage Capital
Multi-round interview with current employees ranging from Analysts to Managing Directors. Very professional while displaying a culture that embraces multiple personalities and approaches. The process started with a phone interview with the managers you'd be reporting to and ended with multiple hour-long interviews with panels of two people and a final conversation with a managing director. Overall, a very good process, detailed questions that probed into the applicant's personal and professional thought process and problem-solving skills.
