I applied through college or university. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Amazon (Milan) in Feb 2018
Interview
I went through a very structured process:
- a first phone interview to understand my motivation for the position (after, I was asked to take the SHL test before the next interview)
- three interviews in a row with a recruiter, an Area Manager and an Operations Manager to test me on Amazon's leadership principles
- a phone interview with a Senior Manager to get to know myself and to answer to all my questions about the job
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
All kinds of questions that imply Amazon's leadership principles (like "describe one episode explaining how did you behave with a customer") using the STAR approach (Situation, Target, Action, Results)
Prior to even speaking to anyone about a possible interview there was a long and lengthy testing required. Really disappointing to finish with no feedback or additional details. I only received an email post test.
I applied online. I interviewed at Amazon (Stamford, CT)
Interview
Extremely unprofessional in my opinion. Talked to 3 different people, all of whom were wearing old sweatshirts and not looking at the camera. As I was sitting on zoom in a suit jacket, did not feel at all a place I would be valued at.

Question 1
Conflict between coworkers, how would you approach resolving?
All virtual. STAR interview questions (situation task action result). Think of examples of tough situations you had to deal with. I think I had 2 or 3 interviews before I got an offer. Pretty smooth process overall.
