      Principal Recruiter - SWAT Interview

      Mar 12, 2019
      Anonymous Interview Candidate
      London, England
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied through other source. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Amazon (London, England) in Mar 2019

      Interview

1 Hour Phone interview - Scenario based questions. The Interviewer was incredibly robotic and had cold approach. The questions although relative were very broad spanning and a little too junior in my opinion - given 8+ years of recruiting in a 360 role, it was a large case of teaching you how to suck eggs. It struck me that you'd need to have done in house in a very formulaic manner to succeed in this interview. Data driven manager engagement is a good way of saying the stakeholder engagement is all on email and you can present cold facts to them. For anyone wanting to leverage their relationship management skills, this isn't the role for them.

      Interview questions [2]

      Question 1

Resourcing processes - how to find difficult candidates. Name a recent time when you've worked an awkward role and what methods you used?
      1 Answer

      Question 2

Situational questions around stakeholder engagement / using data to influence and why join amazon.
