I applied through an employee referral. The process took 6 weeks. I interviewed at Amazon (New York, NY) in Mar 2020
Interview
The interview process is done in 3 phases.
1. Assessment
2. 45-minute call with an AM at Amazon
3. 5-hour interview (1 interviewer per hour) + quick 10-minute presentation with the hiring manager
The overall process is incredibly easy as long as you follow Amazons 14 leadership principles and the star method. I recommend preparing a scenario for each principle and be prepared to discuss the situation in full length using the STAR method. If you do this, you will get a job offer.
The overall process was incredibly disappointing. Amazon is a way to big and respectable of an organization to have this interview process. It is honestly embarrassing. The thing that I found most frustrating about their interview process is that it was incredibly one-sided. When you're interviewing for a role the interview should be just as much for the candidate as it is the company. I was only left 5 minutes after each 1-hour interview to ask questions. After dedicating 5 hours of my day to the company, you would think I would have knowledge of the culture of the team or the day to day duties in the role but I did not because I was not able to ask questions. The unorganized process gave insight into how employment at Amazon would be. I was already incredibly nervous about the prospect of working for Amazon because I hadn't heard many positive things, the final interview confirmed my fears.

Great management, it was a walk in drive and the HR team was able to manage everything well. Enjoyed the process.
All the best to everyone going for the interview.

1 Phone screen, 4 loops of behavioral interviews. A bar raiser is involved in one of the 4 loops. They respond back in the same week regarding the next steps / feedback
