Interview
I applied for a different role and was suggested for this job. I had to do a SQL test. There were errors in the email and in the link to the test.Then, I had a technical phone screen. The interviewer was overly aggressive in an unhelpful way. For example, he responded "What else?" whenever I said anything with no hints of what he was looking for even when I asked. I was very surprised I passed the phone screen.
I had a virtual onsite where I met 4 people from the team and one outside person. This part went well and I was looking forward to hearing the response. A few days later I got a call from a recruiter that said they needed me to do another phone screen. The next day I got a call from a different recruiter who said I was getting an offer, even though I never did the extra phone screen. The offer was lower than my current total compensation, even though I told them what my current total compensation is. I decided it was not worth taking a paycut to work at Amazon.
I dealt with 5 recruiters as part of this process. They didn't seem to be on the same page and I got varying levels of professionalism.
The interview process was smooth and conversational. The interviewer was calmly asking questions about my previous work experiences and listened patiently. He even gave me ample time to frame my answers.

The first interview is a technical phone interview that assesses your skills in SQL and Python, specifically data analysis with python. The interviewer pastes the description of an SQL problem on the code editor and asks you to write your answer while describing your thought process. They give you hints when you're stuck.
