Phone interview / first stage. Amazon uk role
A very rushed phone interview. Less than 30 minutes spent on a slot that was 45 minutes. As the interviewer was rushing i felt rushed and less open to asking more which i would have liked. Very surprised not to get to the next stage considering i have great experience in the role.
Use the star method to answer questions, its handy gives a clear answer however i don’t think the questions really find out much about the person. It seems they want to follow the process of an interview.

Describe a time where you exceeded a target or expectations? What went well and what would you change?
Versant was the first round, from what I remember. Then it was a face to face round of interview with a senior manager. He asked about previous retail experiences, questions about how to keep a customer happy and retian the customer.

Interview
The interview included two questions: Tell me about yourself and a one-minute JAM topic, assessing communication skills, confidence, clarity, overall presentation and basic speaking ability throughout the interview process effectively..
Great management, it was a walk in drive and the HR team was able to manage everything well. Enjoyed the process.
