I applied through a recruiter. The process took 5 weeks. I interviewed at Amazon (Seattle, WA) in Jan 2022
Interview
Phone screen with recruiter, online assessment (general personality questions, along with read this situation and pick the appropriate answer). Then full day interview with 5 different people for an hour each. Way too long of a day, started at 1pm and finished at 7:15pm. Interviewed with 2 analysts, 1 manager, 1 director, and a "bar raiser" (mine was in HR). All behavioral questions (was told there would be a general case study, but did not receive one). Behavioral questions were very wordy and specific. They definitely emphasize demonstrating the leadership principles in your answers.

Question 1
Give me an example of an initiative you undertook because you saw that it could benefit the business unit, but wasn’t within any group’s individual responsibility so nothing was being done.
Describe a time when you had to transition a project you owned to a new owner.
One HR screening, Phone screening, Loop interview with 5 People, Team matching interview. The loop interview was tiring since it was 45mins per interview, and you would have to provide examples for LPs.

I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Amazon (New York, NY) in Apr 2026
Interview
Generally conversational and asking about your resume and experience. After the assessment link is sent to you via HR, they can invite you for a phone screen. This phone screen generally lasts an hour.
They asked a lot of behavioral questions and it seemed like SQL/Data Analysis was heavily required. Would definitely recommend prepping all the common behavioral question. Also its important to know the core principles of Amazon
