I applied through a recruiter. The process took 1+ week. I interviewed at Amazon (Arlington, VA) in Oct 2023
Interview
I was reached out for an Amazon’s recruiter on LinkedIn. I did an online assessment, got to the next step where she did some questions (by email) such as my salary expectation and if I would be able to commute. Basically everything on the same day. I chose a date and I did the interview with the hiring manager. The interview was basic behavioral questions. I thought I was great but 3-4 days after I got an email saying that they wouldn’t move forward with me, no feedbacks. Texted the recruiter asking for feedback but no response after that (before the rejection, she was really thoughtful lol).

Question 1
Tell me about a time when you exceed the expectations
The interview was largely centered around Amazon’s Leadership Principles, which guided almost every question throughout the session. Rather than focusing on technical skills, the interviewer dug deeply into how I think, take ownership, solve problems, and collaborate with others in ambiguous or high-pressure situations.
I had four rounds of interviews, each 45 minutes. The interviews consisted of behavioural questions. Each interviewer focused on different Amazon principles, so make sure you know those. Use the STAR method to answer the behavioural questions.

Interview
Online Assessment then 4 round loop interview. Spend a solid week preparing your STAR stories because that's the bulk of the interview. Also don't bs your stories either because they will ask follow up questions.
