      I applied online. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at American Airlines (Saint Louis, MO) in May 2016

      Interview

      After the usual online personality test I was called for a f2f interview with the hiring manager. I met with two managers for about 90 minutes. I was asked the usual questions about why I wanted the position and situational questions. We moved to more personal conversation and I left feeling pretty good. I was told I would hear a yes or no within two weeks. I send followup thank you emails to HR and the hiring manager. I never heard back and when I contacted HR a month later they returned my calls with emails stating the process was ongoing. At this point I knew they were likely waiting for the successful candidates background checks to be complete before telling others they weren't successful. I finally got the rejection email after two months. They should have been more honest about the communications timing.

      Interview

      First they assign you an interview, so doesn’t matter if you are available or not, and they don’t tell you when it is until about 5 days before. I scrambled to get my work covered for that day and in an email they tell you to get to the airport 15 min before your time. I get their on time but have to wait at the ticket line to tell someone I’m there. By the time I get to a person, it’s my interview time and it proceeds to take more time for the agent to tell someone I’m even there. At this point I’m late and the supervisor tells me that the manager said I’m late and I’ll need to reschedule. It’s not even 3 minutes past, and I’ve left work early and driven 30 minutes for nothing. They don’t even validate my parking for me, so now I have to pay to park for nothing as well. Don’t bother applying here, it’s a waste of time.
