I applied online. I interviewed at Applebee's (Joliet, IL) in Sep 2021
Interview
I filled out an app on indeed and got a call 10 mins later to set up interview for two days later. I got to the interview and the GM was very friendly the asked some questions about previous experience explained the job and told me a little bit about her team. I was very comfortable it wasnt like some interviews when you feel like you were being questioned she offered the job and I accepted

Question 1
They asked me about my past jobs and titles at those jobs
I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at Applebee's
Interview
In person interview. They asked many personality fit questions. Seemed like they care more about if you fit their vibe rather than your experience or aptitude as a server. Quite liked my interviewer honestly.
“The interview process typically starts with an application review, followed by an interview with the manager to assess customer service skills, availability, and experience. Depending on the role, there may be situational or behavioural questions to understand how candidates handle teamwork, fast-paced environments, and customer interactions. Successful candidates may then proceed to onboarding and training.”
Did an interview with assistant manager, lasted five minutes and they wanted to do another interview with the head manager.
Only asked me two questions which was weird, I never had an interview like that before.
Pretty pointless imo and I don't think they respect your time well - from reading other reviews it seems quite unconviential though so maybe it was just a weird store.
