I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Autodesk (San Francisco, CA) in Sep 2016
Interview
Simple Process. Recruiter contacted me on LinkedIn, had a skype interview, then an onsite, and then last call with director. Recruiter contacted in the evening with the offer details. The entire process took about 2 weeks.
More about offer details: I've more then 2 years of professional experience, so I was expecting more salary then what I was getting in my previous company. But the offer was awful and I felt insulted. Firstly, the base salary was less then what I was getting in my previous company, secondly I didn't get any RSU's, and sign-on bonus was non-existent. I was also told that there is little to no bonus structure as well. I didn't know how to even start negotiating my offer as well but when I tried, I was straight away said no, and hence I declined the offer. It was completely awful experience!

I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at Autodesk in Apr 2026
Interview
I first had a call with the recruiter to discuss the role, my background, and my experience. After that, I was invited to Round 1 with the manager.
The interview was mostly behavioral and focused heavily on teamwork, collaboration, and communication-related topics. Toward the end, there were also a few technical questions covering C++, DSA fundamentals, and other stuff related to the role.
Overall, the process felt professional and respectful. The manager was kind, approachable, and treated me with respect throughout the interview.
The interview lasted for 2 hours and they asked me to design a full stack web application using react and node.js, including coding and api design.
You need to write both frontend and backend code.

Interview
1. Nice call with HR
After 15 days they send a message and scheduled for next day interview
2. technical interview it was quite hard and it took 57 out of 60 minutes, it was heavy technical interview. I did at least average, they were asking mutexes, design patterns and a lot of other stuff
Finally they decided not to move forward due to some magic missing AI requirement that they never asked and job posting does not have.
I belive its a compliment that they did not said anything about missing C++ skills but still quite sad result.
