I applied through college or university. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at BB&T (Raleigh, NC) in Oct 2014
Interview
They talk a lot about their values and then ask behavioral based questions. They make it seem like as a market leader you "own" your branch but this is junk. You have little to no authority and holding your team responsible is very difficult, despite the fact that they will bear down on you like crazy. Don't let them tell you it's one big happy family. Ask tough questions like "What % of market leaders hit their bonus last year?" "I see a lot of BB&T branches that have aging furniture and seem in disrepair - when are you updating these branches?" "I am concerned about how low tech the branches are - when are you investing in industry standard technology?" "I want to be a big part of the community - what is my budget for community donations and involvement?"

Question 1
Name a time you... They are going to ask behavioral based questions about times you overcame obstacles, followed directions, hit goals.

Interview
The process was fairly easy and straightforward. Started with a phone interview with the recruiter. We had some great dialogue and had things in common (due to my pre work on LinkedIn and Glassdoor) so the phone interview took about 1.5 hours. Then two additional interviews with the Sales Leader and Regional Manager. Basic situational questions with the sales leader and she was very transparent in her feedback. The RM did not hold punches and made sure she let me know that I had to prove myself. This interview lasted about 45 minutes and she made me do a role play :( I didn't think I did well but I am extra hard on myself. I have done these routinely with my staff over the years so I was comfortable. I guess I put my best foot forward because a couple days later I was offered the job. I countered on my salary and about 3 days later they accepted my counteroffer. I just started but I see this company as a career move.

Interview
Started with a phone interview. Met the hiring manager for lunch discuss expectations. Met with local leadership. We converted about the banks non-negotiates. Overall, fairly simple interview processing. Started with a phone interview. Met the hiring manager for lunch discuss expectations. Met with local leadership.
