I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Bain & Company (London, England) in Nov 2010
Interview
I applied online to Bain and was invited to their 1st round interview. I really enjoyed the interview process for Bain. The HR people actually put an effort to make applicants feel at home (taking pictures of candidates, providing refreshments, sitting with candidates in between interviews to take the stress out of the situation). The 1st round interview consisted of two interview: one was a fit interview with a small case at the end; the second was a larger case interview. It is important to be highly structured when approaching these.
Interview questions [2]
Question 1
Tell me about a time you worked in a team? What would you change about this?
2 cases for R1. Pretty straightforward cases about revenue optimization opportunities. There was a little bit of market sizing but all data needed was given. No behaviorals asked in round 1 for me.
