I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Bain & Company (Boston, MA) in Sep 2011
Interview
I applied for an internship, not knowing much about management consulting or the interview process. I did well in the interview and was surprised by A. how much I enjoyed the process and B. how friendly the people were. My advice to applicants is to prepare rigorously (not what I did), for both the case and experience parts of the interview.
Stattdessen Reaktionsfragen à la „Wie würdest du in Situation XYZ reagieren?". Mit solider Vorbereitung nichts Unerwartetes. Alle Interviewer sehr freundlich und aufgeschlossen — angenehme, entspannte Atmosphäre throughout.
2 rounds of 3 interviews.
The first round includes a fit interview.
All interviews feel very relaxed, but they still expect you to move through the case fast and in a structured way.
