I applied through college or university. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Bain & Company (Washington, DC) in Sep 2018
Interview
Did on campus first round interview after resume submission. I was given two cases that were fairly easy with only one behavioral question. Was then sent along to the final office round in DC. In the final round, I was also given two very easy cases and a few short behavioral questions. A few hours later they called me and said they wouldn't be giving me an offer. It was a bit surprising both that the cases were very easy and there was never a formal behavioral interview. Definitely disappointing to see that Bain put forth minimal effort in the interview process and hardly tried to make distinctions between a strong group of final round interviewees.
2 rounds, 1st round 2 small cases, not very difficult , market entry cases.
2nd long case with a deck to read and prepare answers..45 mins to read, 15 mins to answer
Three rounds of interviews, generally 2 rounds in person or remote with live consultants. Each round involves a 2-3 case interviews each, which generally also include a set of behavioural questions.
Stattdessen Reaktionsfragen à la „Wie würdest du in Situation XYZ reagieren?". Mit solider Vorbereitung nichts Unerwartetes. Alle Interviewer sehr freundlich und aufgeschlossen — angenehme, entspannte Atmosphäre throughout.
