I applied through college or university. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at Bain & Company (San Francisco, CA) in Sep 2010
Interview
I applied through the early application process. For first round, I had two one-on-one case interviews with managers. Both were very friendly and the cases were straightforward, and there were no personal questions. For the second round, I had two more case interviews and one interview with the HR person. These were similar to the first round except for a bit more emphasis on personal questions, and the cases were more loose and ambiguous.

Question 1
A grocery store chain is experiencing declining profits. What is going on and how can we turn it around?
Stattdessen Reaktionsfragen à la „Wie würdest du in Situation XYZ reagieren?". Mit solider Vorbereitung nichts Unerwartetes. Alle Interviewer sehr freundlich und aufgeschlossen — angenehme, entspannte Atmosphäre throughout.
2 rounds of 3 interviews.
The first round includes a fit interview.
All interviews feel very relaxed, but they still expect you to move through the case fast and in a structured way.
