I applied through college or university. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Bain & Company (Boston, MA) in Oct 2009
Interview
There are two rounds of interviews. If you are offered a second round interview, your odds of getting an offer are quite good. Each round of interviews consists of two back-to-back 30-minute interviews with a senior employee. Each 30 minute segment consists of about 15 minutes of "fit" questions and about 15 minutes of a practice case. The interviewers, like the vast majority of people at the firm, are very pleasant and encouraging.
2 cases for R1. Pretty straightforward cases about revenue optimization opportunities. There was a little bit of market sizing but all data needed was given. No behaviorals asked in round 1 for me.
