I applied through a recruiter. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Bankers Life (Richmond, VA)
Interview
The HR person scans sites like Monster.com for prospects, then calls them to schedule an interview. The interview is really a sales pitch for you to become a 'business partner' with Bankers, you will be a contract worker with no benefits and you will pay for leads and malpractice insurance. They are constantly hiring new producers because most people find that the is not for them, so it's a pretty sure bet that you'll be offered a job.

At first is pretty much a really quick screening process over the phone, then a phone interview, and then like two in person interviews basically, with two different higher ups.

Interview
It started with a briefing seminar in a group before an in person interview. The questions were brief and in line with other sales jobs. Motivation seems to be the highest desire from the employer.
Very easy group briefing and then a personal one on one interview. You get to see exactly what you'll be getting into and the awesome structure of the company. You also get to see how you can develop your career there.
