The interview was easy, and the questions were quite practical. One thing I appreciated was that the questions were related to the work done in the company. There were three rounds, 2 technical and one with hiring manager. The hiring manager round was strange. The interviewer didn't have much knowledge about oracle database but because I have previously worked on it, he asked me questions related to it. He kept on interrupting for all the answers I was given and didn't give chance to completely answer even a single question. Upon answering the questions based on the knowledge I have, the interviewer seemed dissatisfied and completely dismissed my 1-year project using oracle database saying that "your approach won't work". I don't know what could I have done to change his opinion as I wasn't telling anything that wasn't true. But he kept on insisting like an immovable belief that whatever I was saying was wrong whereas I know the project worked because it did. He also agreed that he didn't know much about oracle. I know what I have worked on and my explanation was nothing but the truth. I was told that the HR would get back, but havent gotten any response since the past 3 weeks. Upon checking the salaries on glassdoor, it also seemed like the compensations provided by the company weren't upto market standards.
