I applied through college or university. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Capital One (Plano, TX) in Feb 2011
Interview
Contacted by representative about interviews on campus and accepted one. It was a case interview on the profitability of three different credit cards. Got invited the next day to fly to Plano for a day of interviews. Flew in the night before to the Nylo Plano and had some appetizers and drinks, just relax and have some fun and try to find out what working at the company is really like. The next day consisted of 3 case interviews and 1 behavioral. All 4 of my interviewers were Indian so that made things a bit more difficult since they were hard to understand, but overall the cases are pretty basic algebra, nothing to get bent out of shape about.

Question 1
Describe a time when you had to teach something to yourself.
I was referred so first a game like assessment that tested basically middle school algebra skills. Then a business case power day with three different interviewers, two of them were analytical and one was product
R1 was VJT, which was fairly simple. R2 was a screening case study, and lastly a Powerday. Powerday was grueling and cases were math heavy (bank related as well). Would recommend the process.

Question 1
They gave a product and asked for multiple ways to improve it.
1 online assessment followed by Power Day with 1 product and 2 cases. Power Day was quite tricky with concepts being combined and tested in different forms. Staying calm and taking in every word is crucial in keeping up with the casing.
