Long and cumbersome process. After a phone screening, I had 8 interviews, most of which late in the afternoon in order to accommodate US-based interviewers. Two of the interviews were with the hiring manager alone; there was also a "group interview", which also included the hiring manager. Interviewers had different levels of knowledge about the requirements for the position, so not all the questions were to the point. After the last interview, I did not hear anything for 2 weeks, so I sent an email to my HR contact. I received no answer. Another 2 emails, one of which sent directly to the hiring manager, also went unanswered. More than 4 weeks after the last interview and 1 1/2 month after the first contact, I was called by an HR person saying that the feedback about me was positive, BUT "it seems that they are hiring someone else". He repeated the same twice, almost in an embarrassed way. I am not sure why a company would need 8 interviews to decide if a person is a fit or not; I find it very unethical not to give constructive feedback, considered that I have invested quite some of my precious time in interviews; I find it extremely unethical to interview someone and then go shopping for someone they might like better without letting me know next steps in the process. Overall, this is one of the worst interviewing experience I have ever had. I would recommend asking beforehand to have a description of the process; insist in getting feedback early.
