I applied in-person. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at Chipotle (Simi Valley, CA) in Oct 2011
Interview
I went in with an application filled out to be interviewed. I was interviewed that day. I was then called in the next day by the general manager to be interviewed. He said I had the job, but I was then interviewed by 3 more managers the following day. The last manager to interview told me "Thank you, we will let you know within 3 days if we are interested" They let me know by the third day that they were in fact interested.
Asked questions about what positions work best for you, why you want to work there, what makes you a good fit there, where you see yourself in 5 years. Very simple and open to answer any questions I had
I applied online. I interviewed at Chipotle (Los Angeles, CA) in May 2026
Interview
Very brief, was only asked a few questions. I felt a decision about not hiring me was made before the interviewer even sat down. I suspect the interviewer was not accustomed to interviewing and may actually only standing in for a manager that was not working that day
The interview process included an application, attending a brief in-person interview, answering questions about teamwork, availability, customer service, and attitude, and was sometimes followed by a same-day or quick hiring decision.
