I applied through an employee referral. The process took 3 days. I interviewed at Chipotle (Wheaton, IL)
Interview
You meet with the manager first, he or she asks questions about you, and then do another interview with the crew members. The manager wants the workers see if they can work with you or not. Then if they approve, you're hired and then you start going through a very long orientation.

I applied online. I interviewed at Chipotle (Los Angeles, CA)
Interview
very easy, two interviews, one over phone and in-person, less than 30 minutes and talked with store manager and some of the crew, got a tour of the back kitchen ask about weekends and experience
Casual interview, sat at a table with manager. Asked basic questions about yourself, and your ability to work with others. Discussed food handling safety. Mostly focused on why I wanted to work there vs. other places and how long I planned to stay.
Cancelled a few hours before when I was on my way to the interview. Never once communicated with a human being and was never given any information after I scheduled the interview.
