The process took 2 days. I interviewed at Chipotle (Columbia, MD) in Jun 2012
Interview
I applied online and got an email a few days later for an interview request. The first interview was easy, pretty basic questions. She then told me to come in for a second interview 2 days later. A different manager asked me what I knew about the company and why did I want to work there, etc. The key is to be enthusiastic. Smile a lot. Be engaged and ask them questions. Knowing about food with integrity definitely got me the job. Also, have a flexible schedule. Even if you're not outgoing, act like you are.
Easy, straight forward questions. Started as a group interview and ended up being offered the job along with 2 other people. It was very casual and no pressure. Interviewer was friendly.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Explain a time when you handled an upset customer?
Asked questions about what positions work best for you, why you want to work there, what makes you a good fit there, where you see yourself in 5 years. Very simple and open to answer any questions I had
I applied online. I interviewed at Chipotle (Los Angeles, CA) in May 2026
Interview
Very brief, was only asked a few questions. I felt a decision about not hiring me was made before the interviewer even sat down. I suspect the interviewer was not accustomed to interviewing and may actually only standing in for a manager that was not working that day
