I applied in-person. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Chipotle (Indianapolis, IN) in Oct 2013
Interview
There is a total of 3 different interviews you go through. The first is with one of the service managers. The next is with the apprentice of the restaurant. The final and most important is an interview with members of the crew. If the crew says no, the job will not be given.
Asked questions about what positions work best for you, why you want to work there, what makes you a good fit there, where you see yourself in 5 years. Very simple and open to answer any questions I had
I applied online. I interviewed at Chipotle (Los Angeles, CA) in May 2026
Interview
Very brief, was only asked a few questions. I felt a decision about not hiring me was made before the interviewer even sat down. I suspect the interviewer was not accustomed to interviewing and may actually only standing in for a manager that was not working that day
The interview process included an application, attending a brief in-person interview, answering questions about teamwork, availability, customer service, and attitude, and was sometimes followed by a same-day or quick hiring decision.
