I applied online. I interviewed at Chipotle in May 2015
Interview
Applied online and received an email saying to come in for an interview. I show up about five minutes before hand and am told after waiting 30 minutes that the general manager is away at a meeting. 30 minutes later I am asked a few brief questions by the Apprentice and am told to come back Saturday morning to meet the morning crew. I go in, meet the crew, and even bag that day's tortilla chips. Not once was I questioned by the General manager, in fact, He only said "Hello" and "We're busy, write your details down". I write my details down and am told that I will get a call on Monday or Tuesday with a decision. Well it's been over a month since this happened so I obviously didn't get the job. Chipotle is an excellent company but this was the worst general manager I have ever met.
Easy, straight forward questions. Started as a group interview and ended up being offered the job along with 2 other people. It was very casual and no pressure. Interviewer was friendly.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Explain a time when you handled an upset customer?
Asked questions about what positions work best for you, why you want to work there, what makes you a good fit there, where you see yourself in 5 years. Very simple and open to answer any questions I had
I applied online. I interviewed at Chipotle (Los Angeles, CA) in May 2026
Interview
Very brief, was only asked a few questions. I felt a decision about not hiring me was made before the interviewer even sat down. I suspect the interviewer was not accustomed to interviewing and may actually only standing in for a manager that was not working that day
