I applied through college or university. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Citi (Manila, Manila) in Mar 2014
Interview
The recruitment process took only a day. It started off with filling out a lot of forms, then an orientation, then the two rounds of interviews. The first interview is conducted by HR. They asked my to introduce myself/say something about myself. They also asked my why I chose to intern at Citibank, and not any other banks/companies. They asked me how I work in groups, the challenges I faced while working in groups, and how I overcame those challenges. After the first interview, I was endorsed to the hiring managers under the Analytics side. I was asked my strengths and weaknesses. I was also asked on what I would do if given a data set. My proficiency in MS Excel and VBA programming was also questioned.
It was a really good interview process that I really liked and enjoyed doing. The first round was very casual and the questions werent challenging in the slightest. It felt low pressure or stress
They asked a mix of behavioral, technical and market questions. Pretty standard interview, no huge curveballs. There were a few brain teasers and mental math questions, no paper pen allowed.
A few rounds of group interview, some with 1 invigilator, some with a panel, and one one-to-one interview. Interviewers appeared stern and not the most friendly, perhaps to give off a sense of seriousness.
