Citi Private Bank Asia Head: What's made me loyal to my bank since 1991

When Steven Lo first joined Citi in 1991 he didn't expect to still be with the bank 27 years later. "I thought it would be a long-term move, but perhaps not quite this long-term," says Lo, who is now Region Head of Citi Private Bank for Asia Pacific.

Why Are Banks Targeting B-School Students So Early?

Andrew Persuad considers himself one of the lucky ones. Thanks to his pre-existing attraction toward business, the accelerated recruiting trend that's taking business schools by storm hasn't impacted him to the degree that he knows it very well could have. For this, he is grateful.

I worked at Citi full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Excellent work/life balance, daycare onsite, health insurance, management is always available, open communication, positive environment, constant training, if you work hard there are unlimited opprotunities to advance.

    Cons

Loud production floor, high turn over rate

    Advice to Management

Stop mass hiring everyone who applies, and only hire those who are truly qualified. Also stop cutting down training class time, so that the new hires dont feel overwhelmed when they get out on the floor.

    Easy Interview

    Application

I applied online. The process took 3 days. I interviewed at Citi (Austin, TX) in November 2016.

    Interview

Total waste of time. Interviewers are looking for employees who will make them look good, fearful of losing their positions by engaging with qualified candidates. (High turnover/job losses due to merger)
