I was contacted by HR to schedule initial phone screen, which was a couple days later. Phone screen went well, with some behavioral questions and I elaborated on my employment history and background. It was a very comfortable and personable conversation. Received a call about a week later to schedule a face to face interview. Three interviews were scheduled for the same day. 1:1 with VP, 1:1 with the Director and last was with panel of three Project Managers. Each interview was again, very comfortable and personable. Everyone was very nice and easy going. The scheduled time slots went over for each session, which I thought was a good sign. The questions were pretty basic, nothing difficult or tricky. I did feel like it was more of a "how will you fit in with us?" vs "can you do the job?". There were times during the panel interview when at least one of the PM's was texting on their phone. I was a bit surprised by that, but, maybe they had important projects they needed to attend to, not sure. I left there feeling really good about the interviews and excited about the opportunity. It was directly in line with what I am looking for and they all made me feel like I would be a great fit.
The interview process seemed to take longer than expected and I was anxious to hear if I would get an offer. After the initial "Thank You" emails I sent, I did get a response from HR, again, a good sign. Then again two weeks later to let me know it was taking longer than originally thought. I emailed HR two weeks after that, but no response. At this point, I knew I was not the one selected, but I emailed a second time almost two weeks after that and got a response that they were moving forward with another candidate. But, the job is still posted on their website and here on Glassdoor....hmmmm?? Disappointing, but what can you do?! Overall it was a good interview experience, just didn't work out in my favor.
