I applied through other source. I interviewed at DaVita (Long Beach, CA) in Oct 2022
Interview
My first interview was with two Facility Administrators and was straightforward and professional. We discussed the role, my experience, and compensation expectations. I was later invited to a second interview at a different site than the one listed in the original job posting.
The second interview was conducted by a panel of approximately 6–7 employees, including managers and peers. Many of the questions felt unrelated to the position. For example, I was asked how I would feel about being sent to Starbucks for the office, how I would respond if someone was taking personal items from my locker, and what I would do if I caught them in the act.
I was also asked to confirm my ethnic background, whether I spoke my native language, and whether I knew how to prepare a specific cultural dish. I was then asked if I would make that dish for the entire office. These questions made the interview feel disorganized and, at times, inappropriate for a professional hiring process.
After approximately 45 minutes, the interview concluded. As I was leaving, the Facility Administrator followed me to my car and asked whether I would consider accepting a wage that was $10 per hour less than the minimum salary requirement I had already discussed and confirmed during the first interview. I declined and thanked them for their time.
Overall, the experience felt unprofessional and poorly coordinated, particularly given the disconnect between the compensation discussed initially and what was presented at the end of the process.

Question 1
They asked for an example of when I’ve made an error and how it affected my work and what did I learn from it.
Easy. Quick phone call then in person was 30 minutes. Got a tour of the facility and discussed pay which was a little low for job responsibilities. Benefits described sounded pretty great.
I applied online. I interviewed at DaVita in Jan 2025
Interview
Took about 1 week to schedule the interview, then was interviewed in an in-person panel. Questions were fairly simple. They were a little late to interview me, but understandable since they are a busy practice. +
There was an initial phone screening interview with a recruiter. The interview was fairly easy and just covered the job description, going over qualifications that align with the job requirements. Answer any questions you have regarding the company or the process of the hiring process.
