I applied through a staffing agency. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Deloitte (Washington, DC) in Apr 2022
Interview
Straightforward. Spoke with a recruiter who primarily asked about my resume. Went well.
Then spoke with a member of the team I would join who presented herself primarily as a resource to answer my questions about the day to day workflow but largely dominated the conversation with questions to verify my credentials. Given that my resume was not exaggerative, though, this conversation also went well, and she seemed to think I’d be a good fit for the team.
Ultimately, I was told the next step would be to speak with the hiring manager. After a couple weeks of radio silence, I reached out to the recruiter who told me my experience was stellar and I was a highly qualified candidate that Deloitte would continue a conversation with in the future…But that, for the time being, they were much more focused on hiring for lower level roles, for which I was overqualified. Roughly two months later I have not heard back from the recruiter, but I also have not circled back. Truth is, (both now and when I was interviewing) I’ve been content in my current role, so I don’t feel much urgency to push the issue.
Had multiple rounds, mostly behavioral. Initial screening by a sr Mgr followed by 2 rounds with other Sr managers and 1 final round with a Partner.Had a pleasant experience with all of them, did not encounter anything tricky. Case study was quite straightforward.
The interview process had multiple stages, including an interview using the HireVue video platform. Interviews included meeting with a recruiter, peers from the team I interviewed with, and leaders on that team. The interview process was very straightforward.
it a very long and lengthy process, which involves meeting multiple people at various levels. the consulting and customer centric behavior is what they look for. recruiter first, then manager, then senior manager and principal
