I was referred to the Flight Attendant position at Delta Airlines by one of the flight attendants of Delta. I received an email from Delta with the link to apply online on 03/06/15.
On 03/08/15 I applied online and completed the online assessment.
On 04/14/15 I received an email from Delta Airlines letting me know that I successfully made it to the next step--> recorded interview with Hire Vue. On the same day a couple of hours later I completed my 5 questions with the STAR method and received an email confirmation saying that I completed the task successfully!
On 04/16/15 I received a call during the morning from a lady from Delta HR Department letting me know about Delta Flight Attendant protocol, dressing rules and asking me about piercings and tattoos. I actually told her that I have a 5X5mm (a miniature tattoo on the inside of my wrist, that I could easily cover with a small bracelet or a watch) I asked if this would be ok and she politely replied that she was just adding information to my profile and the Delta Recruiting Team would decide)
She asked me if I had my passport with me and I replied that not at the moment but everything was up to date with it. She just simply recommended me to keep it with me at all times from now on and wait for a call or an email in the next few weeks.
Today it is 05/12/15 and I am still waiting to hear from Delta! I really want to be a flight attendant and I feel I made it so far so good but it has been too long now. I have friends saying that there are thousands or applicants that the HR needs to go through so I should be patient.

I know it was not so good that I didnt have my passport during the call but the Delta representative on the phone said that would be fine but I should just keep it with me at all times in case (so this is what Im doing now); and about my small tattoo. I read online about other flight attendants that do have small tattoos and they are working at Delta with no problem.
Anyone knows if they are still recruiting applicants?
Question: I am being positive and I know they will call me for the face to face interview soon. By reading all of the reviews and other interviews for flight attendant I know that they will pay for my ticket roundtrip to Atlanta and back to Los Angeles, on my case.
But then I will have to pay for hotel with a discounted price for being interviewed by Delta, is this correct?
Are there any other expenses that I should be aware of? How long does the interview last? One day and then if they accept me I would need to stay automatically for the next 2 months of training?

I am currently in the interview process for the FA position and have reached the ODV part of it. Most of the questions are expierenced based, so I would recommend just thinking of the times you have exceeded the customer service baseline before hand.
