I applied through college or university. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Dillard's
Interview
The interview process is a one-on-one interview with the store manager and/or district manager. They ask a variety of questions: Tell me about yourself, where do you see yourself in five years, why do you think you would be a good fit for the position, why do you like retail, and other questions relating to sales. No behavioral interview questions most of the time (it depends on the manager conducting the interview).

Question 1
Why do you think you would be a good fit for the position?
Very unorganized, no one knew what the other managers were doing. Norma the shoe manger was a nasty person and doesn’t like caucasians. Very back stabbing & they treat sales associates like trash.
I was heavily recruited. It was a smooth process. It consisted of 2 interviews. It was consistent with other retailers. The questions were answered and it was inviting . That’s all I have to say about my experience at Dillards
I applied online. The process took 1+ week. I interviewed at Dillard's (Wichita Falls, TX)
Interview
After introductions and light conversation you are asked about your work experience, customer service skills, personality traits, et cetera. Many of the hiring managers keep the interview process light and easy going.
