I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Dolby (Sydney)
Interview
Had an initial HR interview followed by a technical phone interview. It was mostly c++ questions and lasted for about an hour. Was told at the end that they would follow up within the next 2 weeks. I did not hear back. Sent 3 emails to inquire about my status and they were all ignored. It is extremely degrading when employers dont even have the courtesy to send you a rejection email after you invest time into their interview process.

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Dolby (San Francisco, CA) in Feb 2011
Interview
I was contacted by a recruiter via linked in. After speaking with the recruiter, I had a 1 hour phone interview that had a C programming test component. The interview was conducted by two people on the team that I was applying to work for. They asked about my work background but put more emphasis on the programming test. I was given c-code that had errors, and asked to correct the mistakes. They were very subtle mistakes that would not be apparent someone without a strong understanding of memory usage. I was definitely challenged and stumbled on a few of the errors.
