The interview process consisted of multiple stages, starting with an initial recruiter screening call, followed by a hiring manager interview, and a final round that included a mock cold call / role-play exercise. The recruiter call focused on my background, motivation for sales, and understanding of the SDR role.
The hiring manager interview was more in-depth, covering my past sales or customer-facing experience, how I handle rejection, and my ability to meet targets. The final stage was the most challenging, where I had to demonstrate prospecting skills through a mock cold call scenario.

Interview
I was told that the first round would be conducted in person and the second round would be online. I spent two Sundays preparing for both interviews. Then, at the last minute before the interview, another interviewer was added to the panel and both ended up being in their office.
I took time off from my current job twice to attend to their office interview. agreed to a potential pay cut, travelled to the office, and even attended an interview after 5:00 pm (yes, after 5:00 pm) for this opportunity, which, in hindsight, feels unreasonable that I agreed to all of this.
I felt that my time was not respected. While I acknowledge that I was a bit rusty during the interviews, as I have been busy with work and have not been actively searching for a new role, I also felt that there was very little respect shown by the interviewers. A couple of them frequently interrupted me while I was speaking, and when it was finally my turn to ask questions, the responses I received were extremely vague. I struggled to understand what they were actually looking for or what they truly expected from this role.

Interview
Phone call from the recruiter, then a 1-hour interview with two guys at the company who the role would be collaborating with. The 1-hour interview felt like it went quite well - nice guys, good rapport, and I feel like I gave good answers to their questions. After that, I reached out to the recruiter on three separate occasions with different questions, and she never responded once. I was entirely ghosted, and I never heard back from the company ever again.
