I applied online. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Express (Mays Landing, NJ) in Oct 2017
Interview
It was a group interview with one other high school girl. There was a third but the manager said to forget her because she was late. The woman was very nice she explained the position, talked to us about shifts, "dress code", and emphasized that the customers were the backbone of the store and that customer service was key. She then gave us a short introduction about herself then asked us to do the same. The other girl basically just agreed with everything I was saying the whole time. At the end the manager told us there were 20 people applying altogether but she only needed to 2 she then told us she would call us on tuesday(the interview was on a friday if we got the job)
It was a very standard retail interview. There isn't anything specific to note. Easy, comfortable, simple. Standard preparation is recommended. I love the Express brand, and have for many years, so it was easy for me to use that as a talking point.
I applied in-person. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Express (Christiana, DE)
Interview
It was quick and expected. Much like the standard interview for these types of jobs. I was greeted, felt welcomed and was able to ask questions. I wish I would have gotten a call back,
Group interview where one of the managers picked one or two of us while sitting in a group of 6 to answer questions at a time. Basic questions like how would you respond to a customer or what is a style recommendation.
