It was easy going but challenging at the same time. If you’re fresh out of uni, shouldn’t be a problem to answer most of the technical questions. However, be prepared to go through some of your thinking process so that the interviewer understands where you’re coming from.
Behavioral Interview (STAR format)
3 stages of interviews
2 behavioral, 1 technical
if you get past the first two behavioral interview, you will be invited to the final technical interview
I applied online. The process took 3 months. I interviewed at ExxonMobil (Kuala Lumpur) in Mar 2025
Interview
There were 2 interviews, one virtual and one physical. The virtual interview was very informal and I just discussed about my past experiences. The physical interview had behavioural and technical parts. One advice for the behavioural questions to answer it with the STAR method and provide a very specific example. The more specific the better. The technical questions were not as difficult as expected. You can take a pause to think about it and just answer the best you can.
