I applied through a staffing agency. I interviewed at Fidelity Investments (Gurgaon, Haryana) in May 2022
Interview
Very bad experience. I cleared two rounds over a weekend drive , asked to submit documents but there after waited for 4 weeks. After multiple follow up HR asked me to appear for another round which was taken by a director level person who insisted that a project manager should not be technical and should not be worried about it at all. As per him PM should be just doing communication. Interviewer gave very illogical points to prove and gone on to explain that technical project manager harms a project and technical stuff should only be handled by an architect or technical person. Really absurd and funny.
After investing pretty significant time across 6 interviews with their digital assets team, the recruiter ghosted. Never received a final update from them. Follow-up emails went unanswered, and the process effectively ended with silence. Regardless of outcome, was quite disrespectful and unprofessional.
I was also surprised by the level of domain expertise. For a team focused on digital assets, several interviewers only had a superficial understanding of core concepts.
In one conversation, their lead engineer challenged me on Ethereum finality. I explained that economic finality is generally measured in the ~12–15 minute range (depending on assumptions), while he aggressively insisted it was 2–5 minutes. As their technical lead, was surprising he wouldn't know something so basic. It made for a strange discussion and, along with several similar interactions, left me questioning the depth of expertise across the team.
Overall, the process was underwhelming and poorly coordinated. I expected more from Fidelity.

I had a 15-minute HR screening call, followed by an interview with the hiring manager that went really well. However, after that, I didn’t hear back from them. Despite following up with the HR multiple times, I received no response — and after three months, I finally got a rejection email.
