The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Figma (San Francisco, CA)
Interview
The best way to describe the process is with two takeaways: They are high on their own supply and they are behaving like a legacy company that doesn't seem to understand that they are being overtaken.
Applied online. Very straight forward and clear on next steps. Pass resume review, initial recruiter call, speak to hiring manager, do an assignment, panel interview, then background reference check. The assignment itself takes a while but is directly related to role.

Question 1
why do you want to join Figma? what can you say about Figma and its market?
Applied online and a recruiter reached out to me a couple days later for a phone screen. They were very nice, personable, and sounded genuinely excited to chat. We spoke and they immediately let me know we would be moving forward to the next stages, was completely transparent and clear with salary expectations/compensation bandwidth, and hiring timelines. The take home assignment was estimated to take 2 hours and took about 3-4 hours on my end to complete. I received feedback fairly quickly, moved onto a panel interview where we went through different cases, personal, and behavioral questions. Lastly, Figma asked and spoke to two of my former references. Overall, a great experience that left me energized and excited to join the company. Very high standards.
