I applied through college or university. I interviewed at Fisher Investments
Interview
Met them at the career fair at my University. Got an on campus interview the next day to go over my resume and answer some vetting questions. Overall they were very friendly during the campus interview. 3 weeks later I got a call from a recruiter congratulating me for getting through the first round and inviting me to fly to their headquarters near Portland. It was slightly intimidating interviewing on the their campus however they did a good job trying to make you feel relaxed with there catered luncheon and after interview drink social. I interviewed with 4 individuals throughout the firm. 2 easy interviews and 2 difficult ones.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
If I were to randomly meet your best friend at a bar, what would they say about you?
Similar to most other interviews, very basic questions testing fit and values. Multiple rounds, but mostly wanted to learn more about you and why you wanted to work for Fisher.
It was clear and easy. The people were very friendly and they made sure to aska range of questions. There were 3 rounds I believe. The first two were more in depth to gauge character
I applied online. I interviewed at Fisher Investments (Plano, TX) in May 2026
Interview
Three rounds of interviews. The first one was on zoom. Second one was on site with a tour of the property. Final was on zoom again. Final interview was definitely the most difficult. At the end of the final interview I was told the hiring managers were going to review candidates and that I would hear from them by the end of the week. I never heard from them again. Very strange. Thought after 3 rounds of interviews they would at least reach out to tell me no.
