      Auto Damage Adjuster Trainee Interview

      Anonymous Interview Candidate
      Lakeland, FL
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Difficult interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at GEICO (Lakeland, FL) in Mar 2018

      Interview

The interview process starts with sending your college transcripts to the hr representative. Once you have sent your transcripts, you will need to take a math/reading assessment and spatial reasoning. I then had to take a personality assessment and was scheduled for a phone interview. The initial phone interview is basic (lasting around 30 minutes) basically explaining the position and asking questions to see if some of your skills would match what you would doing in the role. The next phone interview is lengthier and lasts around 45 minutes- asking situational questions (scripted- you'll be read a scenario and asked what you would do in that situation). After phone interview I was asked to come into the corporate office for a role play assessment. The role play lasted about 2 hours- and puts you through some day to day tasks of what an adjustor goes through. This part isn't as hard as other reviews lead you to believe- the thing that helped me the most was just staying organized with the paperwork. After passing this assessment, I had a final panel interview the same day. After 48 hours I was informed I was not going to be getting the position after completing and passing all the interview steps. Geico is a great company, the interview process is just pretty extensive. Disappointed that I personally did not receive an offer but I hope this review helps other people successfully navigate the process!

      Interview

Good experience with this company and interview process. They asked questions pertaining to past job experience and questions regarding the job itself. The recruiter was nice and friendly, as well.

      Application

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at GEICO (Dallas, TX) in Jul 2025

      Interview

applied and was asked to do a assessment which was pretty straightforward. Then did a 20 min zoon interview with a recruiter. They explained a little about the job, salary, training and that I would be invited for a 2nd interview with the leadership team. A little strange interview also, they didn't really ask any questions about myself, just asked how many times I've shown up late for work in my past job and why I had a gap in my employment. A few days later I got a automated email that the job had been filled already. Seems just because you are told you made it to the 2nd and final round doesn't mean you will. They seem to hire first come first serve.

      Interview questions [1]

      Question 1

What do you know about the job? Why do you have a gap in your employment history? How many times have you been late to work in the past 5 years?

      Interview

I did a zoom interview, which wasn’t the issue. The issue was I felt like there were no questions asked linked directly to the job I was applying for. I’m use to more behavioral based questions and they asked a lot of random filler questions, had me guessing why are they even interviewing me??

      Question 1

Employment gap history… which I thought was illegal
